I've never acted. Can I still audition?
Yes — community theatre exists for exactly you. Directors cast for enthusiasm and reliability as much as polish, and smaller roles are a perfect first step. Many of our regulars had never been on stage before Lind Lane.
I don't want to be on stage. At all. Ever.
Wonderful — we need you more than we need actors. Sets, costumes, lighting, sound, front of house, morning teas for the crew: a production is ninety percent invisible work, and it's the friendliest work there is.
What ages are the youth classes for?
Our youth drama program is aimed at school-aged young people, roughly 8 to 18, and covers acting plus the backstage crafts. Email us for current class times and any waiting lists.
How much time does a production take?
It scales with your role. Front of house might be one evening a show; a lead role is a few rehearsals a week for a couple of months. We schedule around work, school and harvest season — this is a hinterland theatre, we understand.
Is the theatre really run by a charity?
Really. Nambour Lind Lane Theatre Incorporated is an ACNC-registered charity (ABN 83 190 266 799), run entirely by volunteers since 1996. Ticket money goes to productions, the building and our youth program — nowhere else.
